Searching For Items

It’s not complicatedthat’s the way we designed it. Instructions for posting an item for sale are below. Finding an item is easy—just go to the classified section, look for the category you’re interested in, and look at the listings.

RSA does not facilitate any purchases, so all payment and shipping arrangements are handled directly between buyer and seller. Simple.

Listing An Item

The “Category” drop-down menu has approximately 20 choices, including “Store for Sale” and “Help Wanted”. In short, if you have something to sell or are looking for something, this is an excellent marketplace. Creating a classified ad is fast and simple—just complete these steps to start your online selling experience:

  1. Go to the RS Classified section and click on “List An Item”.
  2. Select your listing category from the drop-down menu.
  3. Create an ad “Title” i.e. ‘Selling two greeting card spinner racks’.
  4. In the Description text box, write a full description of what you’re selling (or what you need). The more detailed and complete your description, the better. Include any special conditions, contact method(s), shipping instructions, payment method, etc.
  5. List your “Asking Price” in the appropriate box.
  6. Upload a picture of your item.
  7. Input your name and contact information in the appropriate fields.
  8. Submit your ad.

All transactions are handled directly between the two parties (buyer and seller).  RSA does not collect money, arrange shipping, or control/vouch for the accuracy of postings, so we strongly encourage honesty and accuracy when posting in order to avoid any disappointment.

Steelcase Leap Drafting STOOL -brand new, sealed in box

I own Katonah Shipping & Business Center with my wife, Suzanne. We asked the authorized reseller we deal with for a part for a chair that didn't do anything - it covered the button that raises one of the two independent arms. Probably a $0.50 part. Instead, they just sent me a brand new, sealed-in-the-box, Steelcase Leap Drafting STOOL - the same one I have already up at our counters. It's rather large in the sealed box - 29" x 29" x 49" and 97lbs. It came to my store via FedEx Ground. It's taking up a fair amount of room -which we need for the huge rolls of bubble wrap and assorted oversized boxes. It's fine for local pickup but make sure you have a vehicle that will hold it either in the box or out of the box. We're here M-F 10-6 EST and 10-2 EST on Saturdays It costs about $1,197 brand new from a reputable reseller - we went the refurb route for the Herman Miller Aeron Drafting Stool and learned the hard way that it often takes a month or two to get to you - and the sellers can be sketchy. Caveat Emptor. That Herman Miller Aeron Drafting Stool - it's problematic, to say the least. I'm willing to seriously consider any realistic offers - in a month, if it doesn't sell in the places that I have tried, I will just take it home (out of the box) and put it in our basement until someday :-) SHIPPING: Obviously we can ship it to almost anywhere, via FedEx Ground or UPS, but given the dimensions, it will cost quite a bit. I would be willing to give you a discount on the shipping depending on the selling price. But at full retail cost (like our store) I did a calculation in PostalMate from NY to a city in MA and only 3.5 hours away. It was around $400, or even more, depending on the usual variables. NOTE: The image below is of the chair in our store in Katonah - because the new chair is sealed in the manufacturer's box. The chair in the box is also exactly the same colors - black frame and blue fabric - extremely comfortable in any weather and look on a website for all of the features! It has a lot.
