FedEx has been a long-time supporter of the Retail Shipping network through the FedEx Authorized ShipCenter (FASC) program. The program was designed specifically to position Retail Shipping stores to provide FedEx products and service to the general public.
FASC locations receive specific program pricing and benefits and are required to offer FedEx Express and FedEx Ground service to their customers. FASCs are expected to represent the FedEx brand in a professional manner and provide excellent service to all FedEx customers.
FedEx provides specific benefits and resources to stores that qualify for the FASC program. Following are some of the program benefits and requirements.
In order to be eligible for FASC status, the following requirements must be met:
You have two options for processing FedEx shipments:
There are 3 Point-of-Sale retail shipping systems that support the FASC program rates and rules; PostalMate, ReSource Software and ShipRite Software. These 3 systems allow you to manage your markup/margin, change pricing tiers, produce “ramp-ready” shipping labels, and record drop off shipments.
Once you determine which method you’ll be using in your store, look for the FedEx setup instructions provided by the vendor.
