Shipments to Embargoed Countries – RTO

A number of IDOX shipments, destined to embargoed countries (Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria), are subject to extra scrutiny at the exporting gateway to ensure compliance with US Government guidelines.  Shipments that fail to meet the required criteria are returned to the origin.

How to Avoid the Most Common Causes of RTO

1. Ensure waybill is printed in English alphabet
2. Include complete shipper and receiver information (first and last name – no initials).
3. Ensure shipper address is for actual shipper, not a DASC or DHL location.
4. Ensure commodity falls within destination country’s IDOX guidelines.
