UPS Freight notes shipping time improvement
UPS Freight said Monday it has cut transit times on about 1,000 traffic lanes starting in Southeast and Southwest metro areas to points across the United States.
Transit times have been reduced by one or two days from points in 11 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
The news comes after more than 8,000 lanes were improved nationwide by the company in 2007, UPS (NYSE: UPS) said.
