DHL Rates Just Went DOWN for Authorized Shipping Centers

DHL is focused on the DHL Authorized Shipping Center network as a high-priority initiative in the US. The DASC network is DHL's only retail presence in the US, so it is extremely important that the program benefits, products and support are the best available in the industry.

For the past several months, RSA staff and members of the DHL operations team have been communicating with and visiting DASC locations — looking for ways to help strengthen the relationship and to grow your international revenue.

Store owners from around the country have expressed their concerns on a variety of important issues, one of which is pricing on international shipping. Owners told us they wanted rates that would allow them to earn better margins while providing their customers with the most competitive price, best-in-class worldwide coverage, and top-notch service and support.

DHL has been listening. Starting July 1, 2010 all stores will be moved from RS2 to RS3 rates — the deepest discount available to the retail network — 63% off DHL's published rates!

Stores will receive this discounted rate through the remainder of 2010, so there will be plenty of opportunity for them to build international business and profit margins with DHL.

All accounts will be re-coded internally at the DHL billing department. Stores will be invoiced at RS3 rates for all shipments made on their account as of July 1st. If your store is using one of the three DHL-supported Point-of-Sale software systems (PostalMate, Resource, or ShipRite), the only step you will need to take will be to re-set your system to the RS3 rate structure.  If you use another method to price your shipments, you can login to www.rscentral.org and access the RS3 rates on the DHL Resources page.
