A poor packing job led Missoula police to arrest a local man on marijuana charges.
Nicholas Navarro is accused of trying to send a package filled with marijuana from a UPS store in Missoula to an address in Illinois.
An employee called police after seeing the drugs through the clear packing tape that was used to seal the package.
Court papers state that the incident happened on Thursday when a man and a woman went to the UPS facility and tried to ship the package, which police say contained about two pounds of marijuana.
A Missoula police detective tracked down the woman, who said that she took the package from Navarro; she also stated that Navarro had another two or three pounds of pot at his home.
Police obtained a search warrant and went to Navarro's residence where they found the drugs.
Court papers state that the suspect admitted that he was selling the marijuana for profit; Navarro is now facing drug possession and distribution charges.
