DHL Service Update Regarding Restricted Country Access Fees
January 15, 2010
RSA has received recent questions regarding a change in DHL shipments to six embargoed countries (referred to as Restricted Access Countries—RAC)—specifically whether a $100 Restricted Access Country service fee would be charged in addition to the transportation charges for document and non-document shipments. The affected countries are; Cuba, Iran, Korea D.P.R (North Korea), Burma (Myanmar), Sudan and Syria.
As of today’s date and for the near term, there are no additional fees for shipping to these restricted countries. If you have been charged the $100 RAC fee in error, please email dasc.support@dhl.com with your account number, the specific waybill information, and DHL billing/invoice number, and we will expedite a refund or invoice adjustment.
Please be assured that RSA will broadcast any change to DHL delivery range or fee structure as it is made available.
